Dr. Lana Yanishevski
Dr. Lana is a highly respected pediatrician at Laurelwood Pediatrics with over 25 years of experience. Originally from Ukraine, she now calls Memphis home. She completed her residency at UT Le Bonheur and specializes in general pediatrics, breastfeeding & lactation medicine, adoption health, pediatric mental health (ADD, anxiety, depression), and PANDAS.
Dr. Lana takes immense joy in seeing generations of families grow under her care, with many former patients now bringing their own children to her. She also serves as an assistant professor at the University of Tennessee and mentors medical students.
Currently pursuing a functional medicine certification, Dr. Lana integrates natural and alternative approaches to address the root causes of health concerns, committing to holistic, patient-centered care.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Lana climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, loves the color red, finds inspiration in Disney’s The Lion King, and is a competitive ballroom dancer, with tango as her favorite.
At Laurelwood Pediatrics, she is known for her deep knowledge, warm bedside manner, and dedication to helping children thrive.
Dr. Chris Hanson
A native Memphian, Dr. Hanson earned his medical degree from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine. He went on to complete his residency in Pediatrics at the University of Tennessee – LeBonheur, where he served as Chief Resident from 1996 to 1997. He is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and has been a part of Laurelwood since January 2001.
As a general pediatrician, Dr. Hanson spends much of his time helping families prevent and manage illnesses. However, parenting encompasses more than just questions of formula, bottles, antibiotics, physical growth, nutrition, and exercise. All parents have aspirations for their children and wish to guide them in those directions. Dr. Hanson enjoys helping parents discover ways to guide and empower their children toward those aspirations, dynamically responding to them as they navigate life together.
In 2025, Dr. Hanson earned a Doctor of Theology (Th.D.) degree, with an emphasis on open and relational theology and parenting. As a pediatrician and theologian, he understands that many families appreciate a connection between theology and parenting. Regardless of a family’s perspective, whether it ranges from atheism to a general belief in a higher power or a specific theistic view, Dr. Hanson is eager to engage with their viewpoint and help them reach their fullest potential as parents.
In addition to regular patient visits, Dr. Hanson hosts regular parenting workshops and regularly writes on Substack.
Dr. Ashley Miller

Dr. Miller and her husband Ted have three boys, Owen, William and Everett who have grown and flown the nest! Raising her family during her medical training has provided Dr. Miller with a deep understanding of the stressors associated with balancing parenthood and a rigorous work schedule. She enjoys helping her patient families navigate these same stressors and especially enjoys helping new parents as they brave the first few months of infancy.
As a General Pediatrician, Dr. Miller treats newborns through college aged students and can address an array of issues including newborn concerns, childhood developmental concerns, ADHD, autism, acute and chronic illness, dermatologic concerns, adolescent health, sports physicals and much more.
